Here comes the Bride
I was a guest at my cousin Nicole's wedding recently, and this shot in particular sums up the feel of the wedding for me. I've rediscovered black & white lately, and with this shot I made use of some etherial glow. I think it really brings out B&W portraits by softening and smoothing the skin. Not that she needs any softening or smoothing, of course.

Sensor Dirt
This shot was taken last June, on a trip to Montreal for the Grand Prix of Canada. I shot this on aperture priority at f32. I wanted to increase my depth of field. I wound up panning the shot for a neat 'speed' effect, but low and behold the tiny aperture of f32 revealed a year and a half of sensor dirt, dust, grime and hair. I have never had the sensor cleaned, and only used a blower on it a few times. It looks like it's time to get this thing professionally cleaned. I can only imagine what this would have looked like had I shot a white background. Filthy.

Full Moon
I took this shot last night with my 20D + 100-400mm f4.5 mounted on a tripod using the 10 sec timer function. ISO 100. This is a 100% crop with some post processing of the RAW file in CS2, mostly curves and unsharp mask.
