Conowingo Dam
This place is amazing. Tons of Bald Eagles roosting here, and the real magic happens when they periodically release water from the dam into the river. This has the effect of churning up fish as they're sucked through. That's when the eagles descend to scoop up the free floating fish tacos. Nine times out of ten there's a second bird who'd rather snatch the fish from the first guy's claws. The only downside to Conowingo is that all the action happens far away from where you're standing; real far. Ideally, you'd use the Hubble. But since it's floating derelict in space, you're left to fend for yourself with whatever you happen to have. In my case, I was lucky enough to shoot with a borrowed 800mm prime. Unfortunately the lighting was terrible the day I went. Under better circumstances, the 800 would've been much more effective.

D.R.I. - (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles)
I used to listen to this band way back in the day (that'd be the 80's). A hundred years later, I found myself shooting a show at the Trocadero in Philadelphia. Quite a crew I must say..
2012 New York Comic-Con
This was my first excursion to any of the famed Comic-Cons. The one lasting impression for me was 'crowded'. It was hard to breathe, let alone move. I missed out on a lot of show content, merely because it was such a tedious chore wading through the endless stinking crowds. Cosplay was a main theme of the day and that's always interesting. Lots to see and photograph. Just bring your patience.
Bear Swamp Park
I was fully prepared to come across all manner of bear on this trip, especially given the foreboding warnings by various townsfolk while asking for directions. After hours of hiking, I decided it shall henceforth be named 'Bear-less Swamp Park'. There's plenty of swamp, but there were no bear.
